Imbib Brewing.
The start of Imbib is at their Tap Room and Brewery in Reno. Started by 2012 and have awards to prove their quality.

The two partners have been brewing in Northern Nevada since 2012 and their approach to crafting beer is a little different than most. They have a history of producing award winning beers at competition around the U.S. Some beers have won top awards at the Brewers Association competitions.

They are extremely proud of the diverse line-up of beer produced and have the awards to back it up. In total they have a beer menu of 19 beers, from a cream ale-5.5% ABV to a stout at 15.6%ABV. Mostly they are noted for bourbon barrel-aged beer.

Two locations are easy access: Reno-Taproom in the brewery district which is the original location and brewery and a Tap Room in the Legends Mall in Sparks. Snack foods are offered in Ren- Brat, Fries, etc.

Food/Entertainment Options are Plentiful.

Food:

Like any good Tap Room they do offer food options. Let’s call it “traditional light” that is favorites in most Tap Rooms. The food service is what they refer to as rotating selections-Wings, Chicken Tenders, Grilled Cheese, Fries, etc. So if you get hungry you will have a fall back to most options that are appealing. If your still not satisfied with this info you can call them at 775-470-5996. They answer their phone and are polite, so call if food is critical. BTW, their Creame Ale-CutThoat is great.

Entertainment:

Like most venues for entertainment it is a function of day of week, time of year and traditional local events.

They are straight forward people at Imbib and their Beer is/are events an they take pride in creating exciting events that are centered around great beer, good company, and a fun atmosphere. Their beer tastings are a great way to try out different beers and expand your palate. You’ll get the chance to taste a wide variety of beers, from classic styles to experimental brews that push the boundaries of what beer can be.

Beer release parties are always a hit with their fans. It’s an opportunity for you to be one of the first people to try out our latest creations. We’ll have plenty of fresh beer on tap, along with some great food to pair it with. It’s a perfect occasion to bring your friends, relax and enjoy great beer, food and company. They do have live entertainment on special occassions-Check their website under Events.

On Thursdays they host DJ. Trivia which starts at 7pm.

THE SPACE

Right now we are focused on their 2nd Street location because it was the first. But they do have a second location which is in Sparks. It is new and I personally am more of a down home sort. I like Sparks location but I prefer Traditional.

Their flagship location, and first child and a chill local spot for you to enjoy a brew during our happy hour. It is clean, warm, easy to get to and park.

Located off of Wells Avenue, part of a revitalization, this spot is a great local hangout with a welcoming atmosphere, where you can grab a drink paired with a the food offering of the day.

Being a Cheers! sort of a craft beer lover, I always appreciate a place that I don’t feel immediately labeled as a newcomer. I want to feel welcomed and thanked for coming by to support the craft brewers of my community.

Golden Barrel 22 Belgian Strong Golden Ale 12.2%

Belgian Golden Strong Ale (Golden Child) aged in bourbon barrels. This is the 2022 vintage.

Cutthroat Cream Ale Cream Ale 5%

Easy drinking ale made with corn and lightly dry hopped. Our “lawnmower” beer.

Last Chance Pilsner Pilsner – Other 5.5%

This crisp lager with a large dose of Sazz hops. Giving this easy drinking pilsner a burst of hop flavor and aroma.

O’Rourkes Oatmeal Stout Stout – Oatmeal 6%

Traditional Oatmeal Stout

Pan Is Alive Bock – Maibock / Lentebock / Hell 6.9%

Traditional German Maibock. Pale, rich malt, and noticeable hop profile.

Malzig Lager – Munich Dunkel 5.5%

Traditional Munich Dunkel style lager. Dark, rich malt character and smooth lager finish.

Tridentata Pale Pale Ale – American 5.8%

Pale yellow and light bodied pale ale. Dry hopped with Citra and Centennial.

Freshy Pow IPA IPA – American 6.2%

Traditional West-Coast style IPA with balance of bitter and aromatic hop character. Dry hopped with citra and amarillo.

Know When To Hold ‘Em Pale Ale – New England 5.1%

Our first collaboration with Parlay 6 Brewing. This is a hazy pale ale featuring copious amounts of Strata, Sabro, and Citra hops.

Playa Dust IPA – New England 6.3%

Dusty (hazy) IPA featuring Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra

Snow Bro-Cold IPA IPA – American 6%

We took our favorite attributes of west coast IPA, NE IPA, and German Lagers to create Snow Bro. This all malt IPA was brewed using hopping techniques commonly found in NE style. Dry hopped at double and triple ipa levels to punch you in the face. 100% base malt with big chewy mouthfeel to balance the hop load. 70% Nelson 20% Centennial 10% Hallertau Blanc.

Golden Child Belgian Strong Golden Ale 8.8%

Traditional Belgian Golden Strong Ale. Light bodied and full of spice pepper & clove with hints of pear & honey.

The Dude IMBĪB’s Stout – Pastry 11.3%

Bold stout aged on vanilla, coffee, cacoa nibs, and lactose sugar. Bold flavors but still balanced and drinkable

Jarbidge 2021 Rye Belgian Strong Dark Ale 15.2%

Belgian Dark Strong Ale aged in Thomas Handys Sazerac Rye barrels. Bourbon barrel aged maple syrup added during the barrel aging.

Sexy Wee Bastard In A Barrel Scotch Ale 10.2%

A bourbon barrel aged version of our Sexy Wee Bastard (Scotch Ale)

Golden Pinot Sour – Other 8.5%

Golden Strong aged in a pinot barrel with Brettanomyces. Funky brett nose with pepper spice and slight acidity.

Tropical Pie Crust Sour – Other 7.2%

Sour fruity beer with a bready malt backbone and hints of pie spice resembling your favorite homemade pie. Lactose and Vanilla to round out the acidity. Mango, Passion Fruit, and Apricot.

Candy Cigs-Currant/Cherry Sour – Fruited Berliner Weisse 4.5%

Black Currant Cherry. Imperial berliner-weisse back-sweetened with lactose and vanilla. A sour gateway beer for those afraid of sours.

BourBock Bock – Hell 8%

Traditional Maibock (Pan Is Alive) aged in bourbon barrels. The barrel and aging adds rich vanilla, caramel, and fruity esters for a very fun take on barrel aged beer.
