The newly released Tahoe Series of beers from FiftyFifty Brewing Co. claimed gold and bronze awards in the 2023 World Beer Cup®, a global beer competition. The Tahoe Series was designed to honor Truckee-Tahoe’s storied brewing past, highlight the world’s best water source, and celebrate craft beer. In the late 1800s, the Truckee-Tahoe was world famous for its lagers. Today they still have great water and the owners select all ingredients using a hands on method to recipes and brewing.

Co-founder is Alicia B. and she is proud of making FiftyFifty Brewing Co. into a global production facility and brewpub with locations in Truckee CA, Lake Tahoe, and Reno NV region, that specializes in small batch craft lagers, hoppy ales, and innovative barrel aged styles. Their Eclipse Barrel Aged Stouts have won international accolades and an occult following. As a Tap Room and Brew Pub they offer the visitor a complete package-not matter whether coming home or going to Bay Area.

Food/Entertainment Options are Plentiful.

Brew Pub. I also call it a Tap Room. Beers served in pints are $7-$8. Full service menu prices are affordable. The author has been at Fifty Fifty over the years and the service, quality and portions are consistent and well worth the stop. They generally carry about 10 beers on tap and do vary seasonally. Over the years, noticed a lot of the patrons are locals with many day skiers and fisherpersons (trying to be woke) who frequent Fifty Fifty. Knowledgeable staff.

Entertainment is seasonal and varies. In summer they have a music series from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm every other Friday. Believe it or not, if you call someone will answer the phone, so call for questions about entertainment. Phone number is 530-587-2337. They do have an “events” menu tab on their website: www.fiftyfiftybrewing.com but it does not appear to be current.

Some table games. But you really go there for comfortable friendly enjoyment with the Wife/Husband owners and award winning beers.

They do make great beers.

THE SPACE

Great location, good parking, easy to get to from I-80. The Pub and Tap Room are nice. If you are there just for the beers you have found your place.

In addition to indoor Tap Room they have a Patio area that will accommodate pets.

They can handle small groups for private functions.

Please read it if you want to really enjoy the trip down I-80 with the stop at Fifty Fifty Brewing.

Fifty Fifty was awarded three medals and beat out 2,400 other breweries to win “Brewery Group of the Year” at the Great American Beer Festival event in Denver, which is considered one of the top beer honors in the country. They keep winning.
