10 Torr Distillery and Brewery - Reno

10 Torr started in 2017 and is a prominent craft beer producer in the Reno Brewery District. This brewery is woman owned and was founded with her partner after many years of home brewing. Courtesy Steve S.

What makes this a unique visit for award winning Craft Beers is the availability of in-house spirits that makes for some interesting seltzers and other combinations. They do cater to non-drinkers as well, with non-alcoholic options available. This inclusivity allows for a wider audience to enjoy the atmosphere and social aspects of the establishment. The presence of food trucks from Thursday to Sunday provides an opportunity for visitors to indulge in delicious bites that complement the beverages. Like most craft beer taprooms the food option on Thursday thru Sunday is via a Food Truck. On days without Food Truck availability, you can bring in restaurant orders.

Tour Options

Brewery Tours is an option for small groups and they do offer varying degrees of product samples/tastings based upon the level of tour chosen. The 3 levels of tour prices start at $15 p/p and go to $25 p/p

The Patio is a space that is inviting in the winter at a time when most people do not expect to be on a patio enjoying craft beers. Heaters keep the space comfortable. There is no table service in the taproom.

The inside taproom is where the TV are located and offer a great casual atmosphere. There were two founders responsible for 10 Torr, both had been homebrewers for almost a decade at the time, even some of their beer was given away at a yearly Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. The guy who made up the Female/Male founders also was with the engineering company and had a lot of talent and help designing the total facility to accommodate 4 basic functions.

Many people feel it is important to build a reputation in the community which they are doing by offering Beer Tours. This is a feature that recognized as building loyalty and educating the public relative to the attributes of craft beer.

Parking is available and is convenient to the Reno Brewery District.
